During this first contact, let me know why you are interested in therapy and what areas you are looking for more support. This helps me begin to assess if we might be a good fit.
We will also establish fees and schedule your your first session.
Whether this is your first time in therapy or you've been in therapy before, nerves are common!
During the first session, we will review your intake paperwork, set goals and begin to gather history.
I invite you to ask me questions, share why now? What do you foresee being the biggest obstacles? What haven't you liked about therapy in the past?
I usually like to schedule weekly sessions when possible. This time allows for safety and trust to be built, which is essential to this process. It also allows you to have regular time to work on your healing & growth.
Over time, this frequency will shift based on your needs, progress and goals.
